Tropic Thunder – 2 Stars (average)

If you want some over-the-top laughs, see Ben Stiller's "Tropic Thunder", a film very confusion that can offset its mind whether it wants to be an action game, adventure, history of war, comedy, satire, mockumentary drama or wannabe. In fact, it was a bit of everyone and good to zero, all of which sometimes funny, but an average movie.

This is because Stiller collaborated on the screenplay, directed the film, starred in it as Tugg Speedman, and was the driving force that made it happen.

In essence, we could say was about Tropic Thunder Stiller with the help of some other headliners named Robert Downey Jr. (Kirk Lazarus-think the increase dead), Jack Black (Jeff Portnoy-think Portnoy's Complaint), Tom Cruise (Les Grossman, not less, but more raw and vulg), and Matthew McConaughey (Rick Peck-think Agent theater).

Over there were also lesser lights, including Brandon T. Jackson (Alpa Chino-think Al Pacino), Nick Nolte (Four Leaf Tayback-think way back on the downslope), Bill Hader (Studio Executive Rob Slolom-fresh of Saturday Night Live) and a host of relatives, friends and cronies who have obtained employment in the film.

In 22 words, Tropic Thunder is making a war movie in Vietnam after the fact and the stars meet a manufacturing operation of drug illegal. Its rated R for explicit host the ubiquitous references to sexual body parts, violent content and drug material.

The funniest in the film for me was listening to Les Grossman (Tom Cruise) unload a profanity laced tirade on a kidnapper demanding a ransom for Tugg Speedman.

It would be difficult for me to say without laughing that I'm a fan of Ben Stiller. Stiller seems always to have a blank look around him, as you know there is a person inside this body, but it is never clear from his face. Too many centers humor on the gross, dirty sex, as it has many fantasies that will never enjoy after filming is completed.

The real star of this movie is Stiller, but Robert Downey Jr., who was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Actor. Downey also made the same Golden Globe nomination, and Tom Cruise have managed both in the same category. Neither has won an Oscar or a Golden Globe.

300-2 stars (average)

"300" have really suffered from Zack Snyder both help write and then direct a remake of the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC when 300 Spartans of Greece took a 100,000 + Persian army led by King Xerxes. Some historians of the event at the cradle of liberty and democracy.

The best way to describe the merit of this film is to let you know that 300 has won the Best Action / Adventure / Thriller Film and Snyder won as Best Director at the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films Awards. You read that correctly. There was zero nominations for Golden Globe or Academy Awards. While 300 has some great battle scenes in an imaginary world.

It has very little place in the real world cinema spectators watching in the real world. Why? I thought you would never ask. Here's why:

The film was shot in 60 days, while post-production (also known as Hocus-Pocus) took almost a year as 1523 there were cuts in the film, and more than 1,300 visual effects shots involving elements of 8631 visual effects. This may or may not be some kind of record worthy of the magic of Harry Potter.

The movie was photographed almost entirely on a sound stage in Montreal. This push post-production to the extreme. The R (on purpose) includes sexuality and nudity usual (with which the vast majority of films are made today), and bloody violence enough to choke a horse eating grain in a bowl (585 murders visual by stabbing, Goring, beating, slicing and cutting body parts of soldiers and animals).

Spartan King Leonidas (Gerald Butler) personally manages to hack and whack 33 soldiers Persian 1 Persian messenger and a wolf. They said his figure does not include the Persians he shielded off for sequences battle, as if this is important.

Believe me when I say that the 300 Spartans did a great job of killing the animated characters.

I am sure that Zack Snyder was really pleased with his film and Awards (think Sinatra and I did it my way) I was not too happy. 300 which reminds me why I do not like action movies action-adventure that is not much real adventure too real, too much animation real.
